    I had a message pop up saying that the device memory was full, and then the phone turned off. It now sits constantly on the spinning clock and wont even start in safe mode.

    It wont connect to computer - any ideas please or is this dead?

    Try battery pull, leave it for a few mins and then reinsert the battery.
