HELP!!! Nuked 9900?!!! POSSIBLE TMOBILE ISSUE??
Help!!! My Blackberry is about a year old. NEVER had one days problem with it. Starting a couple of days ago it start to reboot itself a few times during the day. Then last night is started to reboot over and over and over again. It doesn't stop! It will get to the home screen then reboot. I searched online for help and found an article on Nuked berries but it was for older BB's. There article is to reinstall the OS with instructions on how to do it when the BB doesn't stay on lone enough to connect to desktop manager. Has anyone here had this with their newer BB? Did it work?
Also the 9900 is now my daughters...I switched to a Galaxy about 3 weeks ago (ya ya ya it is just to hold me over until bb10 is released). While at the Tmo store the person who helped us did a factory reset on the BB so my daugther will have a clean slate. Did doing that cause something to go wrong? The BB had done on occasional restart since then (NEVER did that befor the reset) and has gotten to where the phone is not usable now!
Oh an one more thing on time when it restarted it said there was a 'media card error' and asked if I wanted to fix it. I clicked 'yes'. Not sure if that means anything or not.Last edited by Goldlexus; 08-08-2012 at 07:48 PM. Reason: found an fix on tmo with other having the same issue.

Then backup the device using the BlackBerry protect service and then I'd say wipe and restore the device. It doesn't seem hardware related to me... If those fail take it to where you purchased it or a store of your carrier and have it replaced.
Also I would say backup any BBM data you may have also as that will be lost. However your phone's media card and phone's media storage will remain unaffected. - 08-08-2012, 07:45 PM

Blackberry 9900 Rebooting
This question is Not Answered.
We have several 9900s in my company, mostly on T-Mobile. Some time between Monday, Aug 6 and Tuesday Aug 7, over a dozen of them in multiple locations started rebooting over and over. The ones on other carriers were unaffected.Through some troubleshooting, we determined that the reboot loop stopped when Wi-Fi was disabled while Mobile Network was enabled. Further troubleshooting led us to find that the devices were stable with WiFi and Network enabled as long as the preferred network for calls was changed to Mobile Network Only. Sounds like an UMA issue, anyone else experiencing this?

I changed the settings on my 9900 just as described in the post. The rebooting seems to have stopped. The phone has stayed on for almost a half an hour!! It is still on! As the person who made the post said it seems to be a UMA issue. - 08-08-2012, 11:10 PM #7
How did you change the settings if it just kept rebooting and wouldn't stay on long enough for you to do anything?

I was able to change the settings pretty quickly. I had about 30-45seconds before it would reboot. Enough time to disable the wi-fi. Once the wi-fi is disabled then all is settled down to go ahead and change the network calls preferrecne to 'mobile netwrok only' and re-establish a wi- fi connection. I hope the ability to make and receive via wi-fi gets fix soon. It is clear
Y a Tmo issue. The 9900 is my daughters phone. She leaves for college in two weeks. The network/cell service stinks at her school so she will need to rely on wi-fi calling. - 08-09-2012, 05:28 PM #9
There is an earlier thread on this. I see you are T-mobile user. They had an issue that should be resolved now. My phone is now OK after this reboot loop started a couple of days ago. If you had turned off wifi or wifi calling, you can go back now.
