I have read similar threads such as:

Stuck on start up screen - BlackBerry Support Community Forums

however I am unable to do this.

In a nut shell my phone froze on the start up screen, I have plugged it into my computer and the desktop Manager said there was an update available so I told it to update. when it got to the erasing applications stage it froze on that, I left it on that screen for around 12hours now and it still has not moved, now my phone will not switch on at all...

any suggestions guys? lost without my BB9900

    Thanks in advance

    Glenn

Yes, sadly it is as dead as a dodo!

I assume I need to re-install the software some how but if my desktop manager will not do it I am at a loss how to do it?

Try to restore the phone through the AppLoader on your computer, or reload the software through the Desktop Manager. If you run out of luck I can only think of exchanging the phone for a new one.
