Sorry too ask the obvious, but have you re-loaded the OS or tried another charger?

Try doing a soft reset instead (Alt, Caps, Del). Mine does this same thing maybe once every two weeks. A soft reset fixes it and saves you from physically pulling the battery (and removing case if you have one). I'm not sure why this happens though............

Are you using the original RIM-supplied charger that came with your phone?

never ever had the issue with 5/6 wallchargers that i have spread around in my house.
it only happens sometimes when i plug it in on my laptop to acces my SD-memorycard.
when your phone is plugged into the wall XD. best bet is to try out different chargers first.

Had my 9900 since December last year and experienced this once, just last night. A batt pull did it for me.

Should not be the case though. Would love to get a permanent solution in case it happens again.

Yes I've tried using a different charger and they were all rim chargers. I just wish my phone would charge.

if you tried reloading the OS and all the other steps too, there might a chance that your charging port is just faulty.

I have had this issue off and on for a couple months. I have multiple chargers that I have tried. Usb adapter with pc connect cable, oem wall charger, playbook wall charger, and even an off brand wall charger for some old phone I had. When my phone was unhappy in that error'd state none of them would work. Only battery pull and then any one would make my 9900 happy. I would love to hear if someone finds the root cause for this.

If you want you can do a test. Open Options/Device/Device and Status Info. Type t e s t. It should walk you through. Best of luck.
