    Default HELP!! Application Storage Problem

I have searched and read through numerous threads regarding this problem and no one seems able to resolve it.

If you look at the attached picture, the "OTHER" on the application storage shows 83.6 mb. It seems to get bigger and bigger over time. Erasing browser/appworld cache didnt make any difference. My free application storage memory is getting smaller over time and I am afraid one day it will go down below 100 thus causing my phone to crawl.

Anyone knows what constitute "other" storage?? What can I do to decrease it?

I really appreciate all the helps and the information. This problem has been bothering me since OS 6 (torch 9800).

    Thank you !!

Do you use the media player?

When I use it... my memory drops. It settles out after awhile and/or a battery pull fixes it.

Not a big deal unless your performance is dropping along with it. Look at your CPU and Usage. Compare the two and you may find the culprit if you pay attention to what is showing usage when you are not using what is being used. Follow me?

Remember, these devices are computers. Everything you do uses up some sort of memory. You gotta clear it out, similar to "freeing up disk space" on a PC. A battery pull is the easiest no BS way to do this (as Phill said).

even with 60MB free it's still fine. My girlfriend never pulls pulls her battery as she doesn't really care. I've used it sitting at 60MB and it was only marginally slower than my 9900 with 205MB free. But if you want to free memory up, delete applications using desktop manager and pull your battery often.
7200>8800>9000>8520>9000>9800>9900. If something's broken, a battery pull can usually fix it...
