The image is NOT showing up at the moment.

You've looked at the lens and it is clean? It could be an issue with the sensor. Since I can't see the image, is the line perfectly straight?

Hi, R7, are you sure, my second post, there is an image,
    And hey,
When I record a video, it is fine no hair line,
I guess it is a software failure,
Can it be fixed or wait it to be fixed by it self,

    Sorry for bad english, :-D

I have the same exact issue with my 9930. In the same spot, even. I'm pretty sure it is hardware. Every now and then I boot up my 9930 to mess around with it and the line will be gone, but after a few minutes of the phone warming up it comes back

Same thing with it not showing up in recorded videos, but I think that is only because the video is cropped below that part of the sensor.

I never bothered to replace mine since I didn't use my 9930's camera that much.

Wow, that's are the same right spot.
    How could.
Mind got it 12hours ago, almost 2 years and no problem,

    You are right,
When I change video setting to vga, the line is there,
    God,
I though it software related, -___-

Oh, see mine was there from the beginning. My original 9930 didn't have it, but I got a brand new one as an insurance replacement and it has been there since I first powered it on.

Maybe the connection to the camera module is a little loose? Kind of weird that yours happened after nearly 2 years of use. I have not bothered to take mine apart and mess with it.

Perhaps I will open up my 9930 and take a peek on my next day off!

Ouwch, that's a nice device you got.
Now I know why you don't bother about the hair line. :-D
I'll get my lumia too, soon.
I just can't get my decision all this time.
Budget wise. I just don't want to pick the wrong device.
But I'm on the gsm part. XD

Btw, I just replace my camera module.
And it's gone, the hair line.
And I put the module on another 9900, and there a hair line.
    You know what.
I think it's because somekind of short. I just plug an unbranded powerbank last night. And maybe the short treat the camera badly.
I won't do it again. Lol.

    Thanks btw.
But I still want to know what is it with yours. :-D

Really, odd that both are in the exact same location. I agree that it is probably the sensor and doubt any software will fix it. While the zoom is awful, does it show up in zoomed images, too?

What if you change some of those other shooting modes?

It is static. If zoomed in, the line will go away since the visible area is "under" it. Changing shooting modes does nothing for mine.

I think it is a bad electrical design(not sure, just something came up in mind) on the phone.
    Unbranded powerbank hurt the camera
    Oh no...

    Like iphone incident in china

    Like the company is saying
"We will hurt you if you use cheap accessories. Maybe your phone. Maybe you."
