Sorry to take you're time as I shout out how happy I am with my new BB 9930. I finally got to Texas from Germany and went to the nearest mall where the Verizon contractor stated they no longer have Blackberry, although there was a Curve right there in front of me. Turns out, the folks in the mall are not actually Verizon, but contractors selling Verizon under their rules. I got another phone and quickly returned it the next day when I found an actually Verizon store that had Blackberry phones and knew how to set them up. In El Paso, they love BB and were excited to show me the many features and what all I can do with the new phone. I'm so excited I have the Playbook and now the BB 9930 to go with it. I love the phone's keyboard and system and have no plans on giving it up!! Oh, I have no issues or glitches or malfunctions with this phone. The setup and update to the system software was simple and seamless. Thank you Blackberry!!!!

congrats on getting the 9930. It definitely is the best keyboard out there. I love bridging my 9930 to my playbook. I used to carry my laptop everywhere but now I simply carry around my playbook.

I'm announcing my return as well! Hopefully this small trend will pick up its pace and evolve into the movement that RIM so desperately needs!
Coming from an iPhone 4S, I couldn't be happier!

Just picked my 9930 up today from Sprint, had to pay retail and have my iPhone deactivated but it was worth it. First store wouldn't sell it to me and the guy was quite rude about questioning why I was doing it. Second store wasn't corporate so couldn't sell me an off contract phone.

Third store: Sprint employees tried hard to convince me to not get the Blackberry, but I stuck to my guns and to be fair the lady who actually sold me the phone understood I wanted it and made sure it was done right. She also made sure there weren't other ways to get a discount (I'm on a special employee referral plan so my discounts came through more minutes for less than the comparable public plan) and she understood I was taking the iPhone to sell off on eBay to cover some of the costs.

What I find absurd is how so many carriers are sweetening the deal on iPhones for new contracts while leaving Blackberry out to dry: Sprint for example was 199 for iPhone on 2 yr, now its 149 on iPhone for 2 year. 9930 is 199 for 2 yr online and 249 in store. Yet 9930 cash price is only 499 but iPhone starts at like 599.

Anyways enough of my rambling, I came back from an iPhone 4s, an amazing piece of tech for sure but just not what I really want in my phone.

I believe that other platforms give spiffs or kickbacks for each device sold thats why the sales person wants to steer you away from Blackberry.

3 of the major mobile service suppliers in my region continue to report that while Android and iPhone are most frequently sold, numerous BBs are sold weekly to a more 'mature' business type user
one rep told me if the BB App World had more to offer and the 9900-30 had a front facing camera with video chat....it could possibly be one of the most popular devices on the planet...LOL..so in other words if it was an iPhone with a QWERTY....
