CB forums app id the way to go Twitter and FaceBook to kill time, and BB7 with voice! There is also a SLEW of customizable options you can do with Advance OS and LED as well, give that a look.

Leisure? My BB 9900 is a serious productivity machine! 50 emails a day, appointment scheduling, a few photos, very few phone calls and no games. Boring? - Maybe, but it keeps my life organized without any worry about whether is is working or not. Now my PlayBook is another thing. That is where i spend my leisure time.

Mostly post on forums, and do some school work with the keyboard and docs to go. I do send the occasional text and make all my phone calls from the phone.

    Read CrackBerry forums via TapaTalk.
I shortcut several news sites on my homescreen- cnn.com, usatoday.com, etc. Read up on things.
I subscribe to podcasts like Tech News Today using the built in podcasts app.
Listen to NPR via Nobex Radio a lot.

100% agree. I run a small business and when I need to get it done I rely on my 9930. Before my playbook tho I did use it for reading news and crackberry and pictures. But now its my phone and msg'ing device. My pb is my fun go to thing.

If you're looking for games, I would highly suggest getting an iPod touch. If you were need internet access, you can use the hotspot on your Bold. The 9900 is pretty much a workhorse for getting stuff done, not a prime device for games.

I have Spotify for my 9900, but I don't think it is supported for CDMA phones (9930). BBM Music is also pretty cool, I think you get the first month free, and then it's $4.99 a month and you get 50 songs. They have a really good selection of music, and the interface in the app is nicely done.

I also use BlackBerry news and have added my favorite news sites to the feed. What is funny about the Bold is that people are always saying the iPhone has a better browser, but I have the newest iPod touch with that nice big retina display, and whenever I need to look something up online and do something QUICKLY, it is ALWAYS that 9900 that I pick up first, because with with BlackBerry's default shortcuts, all I have to do to search for something on Google is press the standby button, then press B for browser and Google Search is already selected in the browser. I click Enter and Google has found what I'm looking for. I will miss this when I get the L-Series, but look forward to the N-Series so I can buy it and hopefully these old shortcuts will be there

It has the best keyboard, so Its very nice to write texts sms & whatsapp. Get e-mails on the go, facebook (I like to see the "posted trough blackberry"), make and watch HD videos, take photos, listen to streaming radio... Dont play games on it.

Unfortunately I have not found any games worth keeping on my BB9900. I have my games on my PB and my iPad.

I only use the BB9900 mostly for emails (250+ emails a day), twitter, facebook, linkedin, BBM, calls and text (duh).
