I have a 9900 which is lying unused for quite some time, the phone is in my drawer wrapped in a cotton cloth, but of late I am seeing that the frets have started to discolor, earlier just a few spots were there, but today I stated the phone after 3 months and saw that half a fret has discolored!! Why is this happening on its own??

PS : By discoloring I mean that the silver thing has vanished and the underlying plastic thing in black is visible!

That happened to me as I used my 9930....after 5 months the keys were showing white underneath.

In my case I am not even using the phone, it is lying covered in a clean white cloth and still it has lost the silver paint on its frets!
