So Verizon did not have the 9650 on warranty upgrade so they gave me a "free 9930" Unfortunately, the 9650 allowed you to create groups of 200+ and then send a message to them which would send it out in blocks of 10.

I heard the 9930 doesn't have a way to do this...

Is there a hybrid OS or some other way to get this to work? I would have preferred a Q10 but they are not budging on this.

you can create groups by going to your address book, hitting the menu key, then go to "create Group". Once you do that, you can then add members

My Sprint 9930 doesn't restrict my group to 10. I just made a group of 12 last week. Did it give you an error or something?

yeah if you try sending out a text it says that you are restricted to 10 people. Just ordered a Q10, lets see how that works.

I have a 9930 with Sprint and I have a group with 10+ members on it, never gotten an error message while group texting.

I went ahead and purchased a Q10 since it seems to have an APP that does it. However, I think I like the buttons and trackpad of the 9930 / 9650 better.
