The day my number was ported to my new Classic, my bold had a continual red flashing light and stopped working. I bought a new battery, charged it, still red flashing light and won't start. Time to chuck it in the trash?

I haven't used a 99xx in a long time but if I remember you can go to settings and turn off the LED light.....If that doesn't work I believe it's time to chuck :-(

Says125. Ignore that last piece of advice. He didn't understand what you meant.

Your phone doesn't start? That's QUITE normal.

    Here's the normal fix.
Do a battery pull. count to twenty.
Get a computer with your blackberry desktop app installed.
Plug the BB9900 to it (without the battery.)
    Put in the battery.
    Close the blackberry.

Relax and go have a coffee (or simply wait 20 minutes looking directly at the blackberry)

within 20min to an hour it'll magically come to life.

I don't know why it doesn't do this with wall chargers. Even the full 2Amp one from blackberry doesn't do it.

It's always a COMPUTER that turns it on (of course try to connect it to the computer itself not a hub.

    Good luck!

And DON'T chuck. If you want sell it here. or on ebay But you SHOULD wipe it first.
