I'm getting that too, for both the previous and present versions. Switching from 3G to WiFi gets me feeds, so I assume it's something to do with my carrier (Telus). Anyone else?

Me and the Wife are on Sprint USA and getting the same issues.

I'm getting the error "2001" also. We will just have to wait till Facebook or RIM fixes the issue. If we all provide feedback about Facebook in App World, maybe they will recognize the issue and fix it sooner!

My bold 9900 is giving the same error encryption 2001 can't connect to server! FB or BB needs to get this fix ASAP! I have customers complaining about this..

Error codes between 2001 and 3799 are often not BlackBerry application errors and are Facebook server errors.

I'm sure that's right, but being a simple guy, I don't get it. If Android and iOS apps aren't having issues, and if we use WiFi with no issues, how is it NOT a BB FB App issue?

Well I've been trying all day and all I keep getting is 2001 really bugging me now as I need facbook to keep intouch with family I think they should do a total revamp of the app just for us bb users what would actuly work and we like its either rim or fb dunno witch of the too but please if your reading this can you fix it ASAP! I am not asking anyone to believe me, per se'.
I just posted the KB regarding that error from a Google search.
Maybe there is a different algorithm or something when it comes to the BB connection with the FB servers?
IDK, really. I am not having these issues myself.
I was just hoping that KB could help someone.

Yes. I'm seeing many users posting suddenly that it is working for them now.
It was definitely a FB server issue if this is the case.

Facebook on my T-Mobile USA 9900 wasn't working for me most of the day. Appears to be working now though.
