I know how to handle these, but I'm shocked that I'm having to do so already; I've had the 9930 all of two days. The funny thing is I wasn't doing anything nefarious. All I did was hook it up to BB Desktop Manager 6.1 and remove some apps. As it was going through the process...Error 507!
Aww, I'm sorry to hear that My husband got the Bold and was having some issues with it as well, mostly with the volume and speakerphone. Hopefully this is just a fluke though! Best of luck moving forward with the Bold... It seems like a pretty cool phone from what I can see
just curious... what is error 507 and how do you fix it? I'm a bit of a newcomer and I'd like to know how to deal with the issue if it ever arises.
I have no idea what it is, but it just appears sometimes. In my experience it's usually when I'm tinkering with modified builds of leaked OSs...but this time it was just out of the blue Check out this link.
I wiped my Bold 9900, because I was not able to receive and send email and read in a topic to wipe it and install the a new OS. This should be the solution.
- I wiped the Bold 9900 with BBSAK 1.9.11
- Installed 9900AllLang_PBr7.0.0_rel1672_PL5.0.0.544_A7.0.0.35 3.exe
- Want to load this new OS, but BBSAK and loader.exe does not see the OS7 software.....
I'm really stuck at the moment, because my Bold 9900 only shows a white screen which says "error 507"
Last Friday (August 26th, 2011) I went to Verizon to upgrade to the Bold 9900 from my trusted T-Mobile 8900 since I didn't want to go through the learning curve of iphone/Windows et al. And I do appreciate all the things I like about BB. Sunday night (After Verizon closes I get the white screen of death (Error 507) need to reload software. There isn't going to be reloading of anything. Its frozen, soft, hard reboot won't work so I'll be returning to Verizon. Its a brick!
I really like the phone except that the battery life was about 6-8 hours. Perhaps it was DOA when I got it. I'm going to try it again since with Verizon you have 14 days to return it. Wish me luck!! (And I'm definitely getting the insurance). Btw, when you get the phone and you have Enterprise at work be sure to tell them. I spent an hour trying to get it up and running before calling my firm's I/S department to get Verizon on the phone to set the phone up to accept "Enterprise".
Thanks,
