Make sure you use microUSB cable that is meant only for charging... or if you use the stock cable that comes with the Portable charger, it will work... Do note that the USB cable that comes with the BlackBerry may not be able to charge your BB if you use Portable charger...

I also have one..
i used that for my 9700..
now i have 9900, its worked..
it charges up to only +- 30%..
in case of emergency its helpfull..
But now, i prefer JM-1 battery backup..ha3..
I've used it for my 9700 previously as an emergency charger especially when traveling (although rarely required) and continue to use it now with my 9900.
The only thing I had to do is to use a foam tape to reduce the gap between the 9900 and the charger, to ensure that the charging connector is parallel with the microUSB port on the 9900 (obviously due to the thinness of 9900 compared to 9700).
doesnt work with my 9900... i plug it on my 9900 and no charge... and after it, the phone doesnt ring anymore. i have to restart the phone to get it normal again... anyone?
