Can you provide some more details regarding exactly what you did and exactly how the device responded?

OK; I think I understand what's going on: I don't see the little BlackBerry logo up by your "3G" and signal strength. That tells me you don't have access to BIS. Without BIS, you can't get on BBM or set up email. The phone is showing you enterprise email setup, because that's the only email you can set up without BIS.

Now, it's my understanding that if you don't have BIS, you can install LogicMail https://logicmail.org/ which seems to work just fine as far as people who post to the BBOS phone forums seem to think. I would first try to get BIS from your provider; failing that, get LogicMail.

When you first got the phone with 7.0 was it working fine with your carrier ? ( got BIS enabled , setup your email accounts , BBM....etc )

How did you upgrade your OS ? ( Over the air or on a computer )

For software update go to BlackBerry website , select software / update software.
Then use update on the web option .
After completion if you still get " Enterprise Activation " you will need to go through the procedures for removing IT policy.
Once completed you are ready to use .
You need to check with your carrier if they have BIS services and enable it for your phone.

I went through this a week ago also and I wasn't aware of what the "Enterprize" folder was on my default icons but I basically just set up email like I normally used to on the 9780 years ago but this time I had to go into gmail.com and "allow less secure devices" and it seemed to work for me.

I don't know enough about what Enterprize or BIS is but I must have just got lucky

http://forums.crackberry.com/tips-ho...ut-bis-996682/ Could try this, but I would think that BIS is affordable there?

Question: why does everyone talk about paying for BIS? Isn't this still part of cell plone plans? I'm still on a 2 year plan and I put the nano sim from the iphone into the BB via adaptor but there shouldn't be any extra charges? Everything seems to work on the 9900, push emails, net, etc.

I need to research more on this

Vodafone NZ supplies BIS free of charge even on the smallest consumer plan, there are many other carriers that still charge for it though.
