Ditching BB....for the moment, maybe for good

I may be relatively new to Crackberry, but I've owned BB's for years and have sworn by them. I tried using an iphone but sold the i4 after 2wks of bs....then several weeks ago I got tired of the second rate apps. for my 9900 and bought an LG 2x as a second phone, which then became my primary, cool I'm thinking, so I went to my provider and got a Samsung Galaxy S3 on contract (I had been saving that spot for a BB10).
I have not yet regretted that decision, nor have I missed my BB. Point is I will likely never go back to BB though I would have been a lifer had they kept up with technology an brought the BB10 out on time, I'm just wondering how many loyal customers such as myself BB has lost (and will lose) just because they have run out of patience?

The opposite of me. I had a gs3 and got tired of it. The slow updates, the huge plasma screen that can't be used correctly with 1 hand and can't be put in a pocket without felling it in there.. The crashing while making a call. The loss of signal when making a call. Just the random crashes while reading something.

Android was "fun", but as of this moment on, I no longer want "fun". I no longer want to sit and flash and root and run "new" roms. I want a great communication device that just works and works well. The 9900 is that device.

I was in the same boat as you. I have been a berry user since the blueberry was out. Went to iphone, came back. Went back to iphone, came back. Went to iphone, Android and windows, came back. You get the point. Soon as I think I have the best phone I pick up another Blackberry. Why? It just gets stuff done with no bells and whistles. Yeah they are lacking in all the new things my Galaxy Note and iphone 4s can do but it just works. You can always find a phone that works better than another but once you delve into a Blackberry keyboard its hard to just let go of.

forgive me, but i dont see the purpose in saying that youve left BB. if you sell your car and get a different make, do you visit the original dealer? seems a waste of time imho.

you could offer me 10 million $ and the only thing i would have to do in return...is to pretend to understand the purpose of threads like this one, it'd have to be believable

Never say never. I left my Bold 9000 for a Droid X. I loved it soo much I thought never in a million years would I ever go back to Blackberry. Fast forward 1.5 years and that's when I purchased my Bold 9930. I love this phone soon much but am looking to replace it as soon as possible but would only purchase a BB10 phone.

Now now. He'll be back but lets not bash Samsungs. I own a Note and it kind of fills in the gaps my Bold leaves.

Seriously nnik, what kind of response would you expect here on the Crackberry forum? People here are crazy about their BB's. I love my 9900 and have since I got it one year ago. I'm also looking forward to BB10. Good luck with your new phone, but don't expect much in the way of agreement with your comments here.

I could say 'Don't let the door hit you on your way out', or 'Good riddance', but I'm going to be nice and say:

Enjoy your new device. I'm using a 9900 and I love the time I spend using it. Maybe the BB is not for you, so a new device on a newer OS would suit you better. Hope to see you back here when you get your BB10 device (it's going to be so great that I'm sure you'll be back)...
