Hi! I'm from Philippines, and I'm planning to buy a new bb with os7, I would like to know what is the difference of these 2 devices? Which would be the best phone to use here? Thank you...

Bro, I'm from the Philippines as well. Well based on the reviews I've seen on the internet, their only difference is the network, 9900 is a GSM and 9930 is CDMA.

I suggest you get the 9900.

How's your fone? Do you experience issues with it? A lot of people are complaining 9900 getting bricked. Does your 9900 has the orange chinese characters in the number pads? BTW, im also from the Philippines.

Never had any problems with my 9900. Works well all the time. Upgraded my OS twice already. Its unbranded and no orange arabic/chinese characters on the keypad.

Isn't there also the issue of voice and data being handled at the same time on GSM?

What did you mean? The 3G logo turns to GSM when in a call?

I don't think it is a problem, once you end the call it returns to 3G.
