When I add a date to a contact, ie. birthday or anni, it doesn't show on my calendar like it did on my 9810. Any ideas?

It's a glitch with the os. That's what BlackBerry told me.

Curious, are you adding the date to the contact ON the device or on the web? Either way, try it the OTHER way and see what happens...

I had to remove them from the contact, save, then reapply to the contact, save and now they show.. What a nightmare.

Or just add them online and let it sync

I just checked a few of my contacts with dates entered and found they were present in the 9930. I had deleted the birthday from my own contact record previously and now entered a wrong date (intentionally) and the 9930 entered it properly in its own calendar section. Then I changed the birthday to the correct date, saved the contact record in the device again, and found that the 9930 did nothing, since the birthday had previously been entered into the calendar by Outlook 2003 (and later deleted from the contact record within Outlook). So the 9930 handled the contact dates properly each time. I also checked other contacts with dates entered and they were all syncd correctly from Outlook.

If your sync is not bringing over the contact dates within the contact record, your sync is broken and needs to be fixed. Check to see if your organizer sync fields translation has the dates enabled and correctly linked (field names are the same both in Outlook and the 9930).

However, if the contact dates had been previously entered in Outlook (or the device), but are not now in the Outlook calendar, the calendar entries will probably NOT be re-created unless if you remove them and re-enter them either in Outlook or the device. Thats a limitation of Intellisync.
