    Default Data usage

IF I'M CONNECTED TO BOTHE A WIFI AND 4G, WHICH ONE IS USED PREFERENTIALLY? I would like to use the wifi preferentially and avoid data charge when on 4g.

    Thanks.

Depends on the app and app preference settings.

Look for where the 4 BlackBerry dot symbol is on your home screen. If it's beside the WiFi indicator, your data preference is currently WiFi. If it's beside the mobile wireless indicator (H+ or 3G or whatever...) it means that the BB's data preference is the mobile network. Essentially, if you don't change any of your default settings, the BB is smart enough to prefer using WiFi (if connected, of course!) for your BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS).

I have no option to set a preference on mine (VZW). But I have found that it prefers WiFi. This is usually good, but when it gets a really weak signal from a saved network it keeps trying to use it, thus making it a bad connection.
