Is the actual size of Dakota keyboard the same as Bold 9000? I do a TON of email and all I care about is the size of the keyboard.
Must admit the additional memory is fantastic. I'm just a simple old guy that can't use any of the touch keyboards and like I guess near millions....just like the size of the 'good ol' Bold 9000.

In leaked image it is clear that its a big keypad, wait for some more time as new images will clear all the dust

Looks to me that it's the same size as the 9000 but features the key angles from the 9700/9780. I moved to the 9780 from the 9000 with no trouble because of the key angles, couple these angles with the 9000 size and it'll be thumb heaven!

Yeah, the Bold 9000 is the best keyboard, and like Brazen9000 said, makes those grooves in there, oh man. We will see...

    +1000

Really feeling the angular edges on a big keyboard. I preferred the 9700 keyboard to a curves more spacious layout, and this is almost like a combination of both, room and angles.

Given the addition of the touchscreen and I'll be putting in some serious work (play lol), at some serious speeds.

I actually went to Android (Evo 4G) and the keyboard is one of the big factors that brought me back. Messaging was significantly more difficult, regardless of what Android keyboard I had installed at the time. Seeing the 9000-size keyboard with the 9700-style ridges makes me realize how smart that decision was for me. No one can touch RIM in the physical keyboard department.

What ridges are you guys all talking about on the 9700 that aren't on the 9000? I'm holding my 9000, 9700 and 9650 all side by side, and other than the 9700 and 9650's keyboards being miniature versions of my 900's keyboard, I see no difference whatsoever in the shape of the actual keys on all 3 devices. Like i said, the keys themselves are smaller, but same exact form and shape...ridges curves and all.
I can't wait for this Dakota phone to come out. It's about time.

I wonder if it will have the same kb quality as the 9650? Hope the paint is a little better!

Oh...the paint/coating on the 9650 is horrible. For the record, I've had 4 9000's and after a couple months, the paint on the T and Y keys started to wear away from heavy trackball scrolling.
