Been on .267 for a while, haven't tried any other leaks until this one and I like it so far. We'll see once the OS settles in.

Hey jaydee, I agree I have also had mem leaks with every OS I've ever used. I just installed .402 a few hours ago so it's to soon to tell. It works but I don't know how well yet. I came from .267 which I loved but since I started this thread I thought I had to give .402 a try. I'll update this post in a few days when I have more info.
Good Luck all.Last edited by Betmen; 04-25-2012 at 10:19 PM.

On Bluetooth in this leak, it does not transmit CID name, only CID. They keep breaking things along the way...

I have memory leaks on every OS that have played with it.
Reboot when it's needed. Cool gotta try let my 9900 run out of memory!
Never did that though so i guess i would give it a shot. - 04-25-2012, 09:57 PM #57
I'm curious to know what people consider a memory leak.
Anyhow, 402 broke vlingo but fixed mlb at-bat game streaming. Vlingo is a must-have, so back to my old standard. - 04-26-2012, 12:18 AM #58
does hotspot work on ATT?

Haven't had any issues with 7.1.0.402 either.

It is the gold standard! - 04-26-2012, 02:19 AM #60
Using bjoose with .342 no issue with memory.

wow. on 3rd day using .403. the last 2 days was pretty normal. but today.. been using heavily (1hr+ calls) browse and check on bloomberg often.. after 8 hours still 50pc left... is this too good to be true, or will it return to 8-12pc+/hr tommorow? *finger crossed*

One extremely annoying issue with 402 is the "fuzzy" text I see on some web sites, particularly Crackberry. The only OS that didn't do this was 267, I've seen it on nearly every other one. What's the deal?

Hi there, just to inform:
Migrated 3 days ago to the 7.1.0.402, from the 7.0.0.xxx something...and NOW I can say that the Bold 9900 is the best phone I've had. (Im coming from the great 9700).
No more battery leak (lasts 1 whole day/before only half day), much better signal (before was searching constantly and cancelling calls), in fact no issues at all since the OS update.
As someone joked: I only hope my multimegamillion dollar company will not close due to not having autofocus camera on my phone...

I thought it was ok, nothing special though. I don't buy all this 'amazing battery life' BS, because I've never had bad battery life on any OS. They've all performed about the same for me.
One thing I couldn't stand about .402 was the bloody intrusive IT Policy locked into the OS, restricting my personal customisation options. That had to go! Unfortunately you can't remove it, so I downgraded back to Vodafone UK's official .342 and was only then able to get rid of it.
I'm sticking with .342 until something better comes along, as everything is working perfectly for me on this one.• That's Phill… with 2 L's ☺ - 04-26-2012, 11:28 AM #71Bold 9900 on Vodafone UK running BL Ultimate Hybrid RC15 on Do Co Mo .923 Base and .sfi

I don't know if it kills your battery but it's a GREAT app to have. you can restore and backup your device Daily, weekly whatever you like But the Genius part is if you lose your phone, BB Protect can find it with your GPS Location, change your password, wipe your data, AND even have a message display on the homescreen with your info on it if someone who stole is is using it. And if you are missing your phone you can log onto the website and there is a setting to where you can find your phone even if the ringer is on silent. BB Protect is a Must have!
