I have multiple contact lists im realzing. One is gmail and one is att - When i do a sync to my desktop software its only syncing att contact list.

how do i sync the gmail contact list. as well

also i see when i log into gmail. alot of old contacts. how do i get this to sync only what is on my phone now.

I had a really bad experience with Google sync where it duplicated all my contacts for several times. You can use the Google Sync app to sync your contact list, but be careful because you don't want to end up with million contacts on your Contacts app.

Try changing the other contact to your default. But sync one way from device to PC, it may try to override previous sync.
