What phone are you coming from.
What about it that makes you have to have it.
If being used for business or pleasure, does it suit both areas better than another phone, considering you've already done your comparisons.
FWIW, I kept my 9900 activated when I purchased my Q10 and use it daily alongside my Q10.
Not that the Q is lacking, I just really enjoy and couldn't give up the 9900.

i have a 9300, i fixed it and its working fine i just want a new phone, im a blackberry fan and yes i know there isnt many left and the samsung s3 and s4 are good phones i wont disagree but they're just not my type and neither is a iphone, i worked with a 4S before, it just aint for me. the Q10 is a great looking phone but its quite expensive here in SA
I see, the 9900 is a great phone I just don't know what you're looking to get out of it. So I can't say go for it.
Not knowing your needs or wants I don't want to recommend something you may later not like.

If you like the BBOS models , you can't go wrong with the 9900.
It's a very good phone / for the price .
( definitely a step up from the 9300 ! )
Good luck with your decision !
I loved my 9900. It was a great phone. The keyboard and screen were fantastic. I have a Z10 now but really loved my 9900. It is a great phone and BlackBerry Bridge with a playbook on that thing is awesome.
Why don't you go with 9720?
its new and cheap but still has 2.8' screen and good KB
Just dumped my Q10 for a 9930. Great having a real working phone again. But it really is a individual choice. No one can tell you what you need or will like.
I have both a Z10 and a 9930. For business nothing beats the 9930 for the typing quality and speed as well as normal banking apps that are still lacking on the BlackBerry 10 devices. For everything else I have my z10. The choice really depends on what you are going to use it for.

So can you switch easily from the 9930 and another phone?
I called my Verizon person, and she said that because my Note 2 is a 4g and my 9930 is 3g, I would have to call in to Verizon every time to make the switch. (because I'm on an unlimited plan, they have to do some fancy tech stuff to let me switch).
I wish I would have known that! I was thinking that I could just deal with it on the web site or switch sim cards.
If I would accept one of the newer "share everything" plans, I think I could toggle from one phone to the next easily.
sheesh.
I'm sitting here waiting for my 9930 to get it's update now through the Desktop Software. The phone hasn't been used in 6 months, so it's got some updating to do. I haven't switch back to it, yet, though. Not sure if I want to go through the hassle.
I had very hard time getting used to the slim and rounded back of the 9900. It took me month to feel comfortable holding it.
I'm glad I stuck it out as now I'm used to it and I love this phone.
Best phone I've ever owned. You won't be disappointed!
I love WM but I always go back to BB. I switched back today from a Nokia 820, which I love, to my 9900. I like that it's not bulky and fits in my pocket. It is lacking compared to the Nokia but I prefer the size of the 9900. I'm an extreme user of email so it's better for that.
Hope that helped! I would not recommend Android due to the fact that the apps update constantly, gets bogged down.

I would definitely recommend the 9900 without a doubt. I've had lots of BlackBerry phones, tried the iPhone, tried android, but I kept coming back to the 9900. I am now on a Q10 and loving it. But for your price range, you cannot go wrong with the 9900. Amazing keyboard, great touch screen that's clear and crisp, good battery, trackpad of course, and yes, it's simply a great phone.
Goodluck with your choice!

like you, I still want one......and was about to get one a few days before the Z10 launched in the U.S. From all accounts, very few of my friends have ever had anything negative to say about the 9900. Regardless of being a Legacy OS device, I might get one anyway.

I just bought BOLD 9900 and I regret nohing! Best phone ever! Blackberry should have stuck with the Legacy OS! When android hit the market I bought a xperia x10 mini pro (horrible phone), then I went to Nokia E72, then back to android again with a Huawei Sonic, and now I finally got a Blackberry. The only downside of having a BBOS7 phone today is maybe a scarce app market and a declining number of developers who still make apps if there are any. lol But anyways I plan to learn Java so I'll develop my own god damn apps.

Glad youre enjoying it! It really is a powerhouse that can GET WORK DONE.
Bold 9900 is awesome!!! Had mine stolen and then bought z10 and q10....
But to me bold 9900.. the ultimate communication business smartphone.

best phone I have ever owned. May even remain so for a long time the way current platforms are panning out. This is the definitive BBOS phone for me, and its shortcomings are made up for how it just does its day to day job to perfection. I have spent a long time looking for a successor to this phone, I've tried windows phones, androids, iphones, and none have worked for me as well as the Bold 9900
