After wishing someone would do this, I decided I'll take it upon myself to get the Chinese .cods for OS 7.1.

So for those that need the .cod files for Chinese input (simplified and traditional), here are the ones I took from .318 DoCoMo Japan release. Just unzip and copy them into the Java folder. I only copied new ones in, and did not replace any since I have the newer OS.

    Cheers!!!

Not sure why the links keep dying. I'll try uploading to rapidgator tomorrow...

Okay, so I've downloaded the files...you mentioned you copied the files you needed to the Java folder. Is this through the BB Desktop Manager? And which files did you copy, since I just got my Bold 9900 last week and it pretty much has everything on there as well...

I always love updating to a new OS, but hate not knowing if I'll lose the Chinese input. Huge thanks for posting this up!!! Copied to Java folder and they showed up in DM right away. Easy peasy.

    Hi guys and gals.

    I am new to Crackberry.

I would also like to add Chinese to my 9900, but I don't understand where is this Java folder you are referring to? I have looked in my Windows Explorer and I can see many Java folders in different folders of cache in Local or Roaming subfolders.

I looked in the Common Files within the Program Files (x86) and there is a subfolder for RIM. But I don't have a Java folder there.

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks in advance.
