Hi everyone,

I recently got a data package for my bb, but its a limited package and i seem to be using it at an alarming rate, so i had a couple of questions, here goes:

1) If I have the wifi switched on, does the phone give preference to WiFi over cellular or not? Specially for stuff like sending/receiving pics on bbm/whatsapp

2) I have my email setup on my phone, which means my emails get delivered to me phone. My question is does opening emails use up further data or is it already used up when the email is delivered to my phone?

1. Your phone will use Wifi instead of cell data when available.

2. Data is used to deliver the mail to your phone and to send mail from your phone. What you do with it while on your phone does not require any data usage.

Wifi should override the data plan, while both are connected. This sounds like a carrier issue. I would get them to look at it.

Once the email is delivered to the phone that data is delivered, only more if you click on attachment

what kind of weak tiny data package do you have!? 124mb? I get 1GB per month, and i use my phone HEAVILY when im not near wifi and i barely even use half of the 1GB .......:/

LOL I like the beginning of your post. I use 4 gigs. One time tho I got a text saying I was about to go over but I was in wifi. Confused the eff out of me.

Same here all I have is a 1gb data limit and i never go over!

I have the same problem. Just got my Z10 today and the first thing i did is connect t to wi-fi as mine is free at home. I used up almost 100meg today on my plan before i realized it..But if I switch of the Mobile Network all data works fine over wi-fi ??? Annyone PLEASE ? Data here is like 25$us for 1Gig
