I have been having one heck of a time with BB DM lately...in a nutshell, it doesnt work anymore. It begins to back up my data, then freezes somewhere near the end of the process, and hangs indefinitely until I pull the usb. I got an OTA update from Bell Mobility for OS7.1, and thought I would give it a go...now the backup process on my device just hangs forever at the 12% mark...is my phone corrupt and this is the software's way of telling me? I've tried using DM on my laptop which has a fresh re-install of Vista, and on my desktop PC (which is where I normally do my backups and updates), now they both hang on the software backup process. Do I have to wipe my phone?
It takes a long time to do an OTA upgrade. Relax. All is well. Let the phone do its thing. Do not watch it. It would be like watching a pot boil. Takes longer than you think.
