I just upgraded from a 9780 at T-Mobile to a 9930 on Verizon. I bought the 9930 used off ebay. Did 2 resets and activated and all is good with Verizon.

My current device software is 7.0 bundle 1341.

When I manually check for OTA updates on my device it lists:

    1) 7.1.0 bundle 457
    2) 7.1.0 bundle 2123
    3) 7.1.0 bundle 2705

However, when I check for updates with BlackBerry Desktop Manager it says "there are no BlackBerry device software updates available." I get the same message when I update via the web from here:

BlackBerry - Software Updates - New Update Software for BlackBerry Smartphones - US

Lastly, I tried an over the air update (I picked bundle 2123) and it failed.

Any ideas? Is there a way to manually download the software and load it from my PC?

Did you try deleting the vendor files and installing a leak?

Stay away from OTA updates, they are nothing but trouble.

.991 can be downloaded from the Verizon Site

    BlackBerry Software Updates

Where it asks for your Verizon Wireless Number don't panic, random numbers work.

Download, install on your PC and run apploader, job done. (not forgetting to do a backup first of course !!!)

No. That sounds too advanced for me. I like to be official.

Just found this link on Verizon:

    BlackBerry Software Updates

Downloaded the 2123 release to my PC, followed the instructions, and now desktop manager is performing the update. Weird.
