Try installing BBSAK which you can use to load an OS.

Once installed and connected to your BB click on Load OS box

It will give you a drop down menu that shows all the OS's detected as being installed on your PC.

If .391 show up you can use BBSAK to install.

Its amazing how many problems can be solved by this simple tip. Its the first thing I do when something is acting odd, before I spend a lot of time troubleshooting the problem.

Hi, I'm also running into this problem and I was finally able to see .391 in BBSAK but when it gets to the application loader wizard stage I get this message"The BlackBerry Desktop Software does not have BlackBerry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer.."

I also tried a device wipe and I get the same message at that stage.

    Any ideas?

    Currently running 9900 7.0.0.579 (B2395)

Did you delete BOTH of the vendor files? BBSAK can do this for you.

Yes I did, I tried downloading .402 and apploader seems to be fine with this version on my phone .. I was hoping to use .391.

there are no vendor files with .402 because it was a leak. This is invariably the reason why you can't install it.

Weird, I downloaded .428 instead and deleted both vendor files like I did for .391 and it was fine with it .. oh well thanks for your help anyways.
