So you know those numbers you can text keywords to to get info from or to enter contests? I used to be able to send them no problem but I can't anymore. For example, where I'm from, if you text the bus stop number to 33333 it'll tell you when the next few buses will show up. Now when I type it into the To box I get a dropdown to either Phone RRRRR or Email 33333. I'm not sure if I changed an option somewhere or what but I can't figure out how to fix it. It used to work on my 9700 and it used to work on my 9900 before I upgraded to 7.1.

Make sure you arent holding down alt while pressing the 3's

I just checked on my phone and it allows me as well. I'm running 9930/7.1.0.580 if that helps

When you enter a 5 digit # it adds a - between the 3rd & 4th numbers assuming you are typing a phone # but leaves the 5 #'s as entered as an email. Just select email and you're OK.

Your method of not holding ALT while pressing the 3's worked. I'm embarassed by how easy that was to figure out and how I didn't. I'm normally really good with this kinda stuff.
