Can't install OS 7.1.0.267 on 9900?
Okay i had enough of this, I'm frustrated :P
I just can't install .267 ?
I uninstalled everything i did remove DM, and OS 7.1.0.342 that i had installed, and deleted vendor files (both) and when i click loader it does connects and all but stops at the page where you mark/unmark languages and apps, so it says the apps aren't compatible for this phone and NO yes NO DM installed! when it is installed?
I have had installed that OS before and it was good, but those days it was leaked and i now have office from some carrier, any help?
And i have had .342 installed on phone when i was doing this cause i tried with wiping and same result, and even i was disconnected from the internet but no luck, and i never had to disable my internet in order to get upgrade!
Any help would be appreciated! - 04-15-2012, 04:51 AM #2
Use loader.exe. How I went from .342 to .267 again... No problems at all!

WELL i would love to get back to .267 but i cannot cause that gives me a window says to select apps i wanna install and when i mark which i want then it says no its not compatible for your device, i mean i did installed OS for number of times and never had any issue?
What carrier OS are you using? mine is from SK (South Korea Telecom) something like that, please guide me if I'm doing something wrong or the way you installed it
BUT i noticed something and that is if i install .342 with already having .267 installed than on BBHTOOL that does let me install, and can't i find that loader file myself seriously? but if i do so, i don't know which OS is that loader gonna install so i would only select from BBHTOOL thing

I use the leak. Well if it doesn't work wipe with BBSAK then load .267. If that doesn;t work you have other options!

Well like i said, i was able to install it before, and yes leaked one, i tried installing that version too which i already did, it didn't work and this official which is same OS yet didn't worked at all
And yes i did tried it with wiping and installing but nope it just didn't liked it, but if i install .342 and use BBHTOOL then select OS n launch then yes it might work, looks like somethings wrong but how can it be wrong when everything seems okay
and by the way i remember, once DM downloaded something when i was installing OS through it and in those days i could install .267 without any issue. - 04-15-2012, 11:45 AM #6
Because to be honest, I just don't like DM. I'd say do a f**k it, back everything up you can, wipe and install it. With the loader.exe it doesn't care. Then just restore your data with DM. That's all I can recommend.

um, well i don't like DM either but i would have installed it by loader directly if that were willing to install, it says something like not compatible and DM is not install, and i never had this issue with .342 and i wanted to get back to it but anyways that's strange, but thanks tho.

i had a similar issue not long ago installing the latest official OS! i had wiped the device with BBSAK and it would not let me install the OS!! it turned out that there was ANOTHER vendor.xml file on my C drive!!! go to my computer click on your C drive and in the search box at the top of the window search "vendor.xml"! ill bet there is another hidden file messing with your install!!!

Well i deleted two ? cant here be more seriously?
And i never ever had to delete second vendor file like ever and it always worked for me and without internet that i disable during this process, i don't know what's wrong - 04-16-2012, 02:11 PM #10
yeah, i never had a problem before, but for some reason when i updated last time there where 3 vendor.xml files!! search your hard drive for vendor.xml just to be sure.
