    Hi,

    I'm new to this forum and to BB.

    I bought my BB 9900 from eBay. The phone works fine but one thing. I can't change time on my phone. If I go to settings, then there's a little closed padlock in front of this option and I can't do anything.

    Is there any way to get rid of this padlock?

    Welcome to the forums!!!! Are you doing this from within the clock app? Clock, Options, Home Time Zone. Is that where you're unable to set it? Or from the options?

    Did the phone have an IT policy that controlled the clock? In other words, was it used?

    Sounds like an IT policy.
    Search CB on how to remove.

    I removed it also , not difficult.

    Thanks for such a fast reaction.

    I can change the time zone from clock application but the device time is not changing ( I don't have SIM card in the phone yet, and I also don't have BB package with this. don't know if it affects it).

    What I see is
    Device time
    Update time - set on automatic with a padlock. I can click on it and it goes blue but that's it.
    Time Format

    Yes, the phone was in use before. I don't know if there was any IT policy.
    Time is still strange because the phone was used in the same country before.... now it's just showing table legs.

    Check for It policy :
    Settings / security / security status information.

    If it is active you will get a warning.

    Yep, there was a IT Policy. Managed to remove it.
    But now there's another problem - I lost a feature that was there before: I can only connect Enterprise mail account. I also found another app for GMail but the problem is that I would like to sync my Gmail contacts.
