Just purchased a blackberry bold 9930 from a third party and when I went to activate the phone, it said that it was tagged to another number. I called verizon and sure enough it was tagged to a different phone number. They said I would have to get in touch with the person that had the phone before me to have them de-activate it. I'm worried the seller won't get back to me. Any suggestions???

Return the phone for a full refund is the seller refuses to help.

The seller either sold you a device that was reported lost/stolen, or else he did not release the PIN or did not pay his bill.

If the device was reported lost/stolen, it will not be able to be activated.

If he does not release the PIN, you will not be able to activate it.

If he did not pay his bill, you will not be able to activate the device until the bill is paid.

If you used PayPal, file a claim to get your money back.
