I recently upgraded to a 9900 from an 8320 and I instantly fell in love with it. However, the back piece, aluminum bezel and back middle frame/cover are pretty rough.

Was wondering if you can use a dummy phone for the exterior parts for the 9900?

I know in recent threads, people say that dummy phones are cheap, weighted and glued imitations of the actual phone, however, those were for older models.

eBay sells them for real cheap too; 7-15 dollars!

Let me know and thanks in advance!

I wouldn't try it. The tolerances may be off and those parts may not fit right on your phone, different/cheaper materials, etc....

I would prefer pretty rough looking original parts with a case on it.

Hope it fits, but as far as I know those parts will not work because there are some plastic pins going across the middle of the phone on the dummy units. The real parts don't have that so it won't interfere with the internal parts of the phone.

UPDATE: The only part that fits on the actual phone is the battery cover however, the dummy phone doesn't come with the NFC attached on the battery cover.

It was 7 bucks though. Oh well.
