    Good to know, thank you!

I am currently with Rogers but I plan on buying a Bell (unbranded/no logo) phone. However, since I also may start a job at Telus with my discount provided I may be enticed to move to Telus.

Any idea if Telus has H+? And if Telus sells branded or unbranded phones?

Yes Telus is HSPA+. However, I think Telus is branded (both physically on the bottom of the bezel, and logo screen starting up).

Remember Rogers has the 9900 for $549 no contract, Bell has it for $599 and Telus has it for $629. I bought the Rogers one, unlocked it for $2.50. I don't care if it says Rogers on the front...lol. Telus 9900 is unbranded like the Bell version.

TELUS and Bell share the same HSPA+ network, so the phones are interchangeable.

I was planning on buying the Bell one but the extra $50 wasn't worth it so I just got a Rogers one. Good thing too because I had to exchange my phone after 3 days due to faulty volume button. The rep added the phone to my account, got a case number made up and I walked out with a new phone. I went to a Bell store that same day and they wouldn't even sell me a phone off contract.

also just so you remember Rogers is the only carrier that has EDGE... so if you lose connection or leave the HSPA+ area you will have no signal (on telus or bell i mean)...

Wouldn't the PIN for the Rogers or Bell phone have to be released before it could work on Telus?

Thanks for reminding me. I frequently use EDGE. That'll be a consideration especially since I tend to save battery with my current 9780.

no unless its been activated on an existing account on either carrier and still locked in.... example. i change my device from a bb to an android and sold my bb and never called rogers to release the PIN then that PIN would be locked to my rogers account and would not be able to be activated on any other north american account until i release it from the account...

    make sense?

but since the device is new and never been attached to an account a PIN release is not needed...

If you're fortunate enough to get a Telus Team Store login, it's $534.99 from Telus...

The telus 9900 does have edge. It works fine with a Fido (or Rogers) SIM once unlocked on 2G or 3G.

This is a confusion. Telus does not have edge, but the phone does support it.
