Hi everyone, I bought my 99 with no contract(sim free) in my country. Last month, I moved to US to study. I find that my bb doestn't have 4G option in network mode narrow. Only 3G,2G,3G&2G available. Does this depend on ROM OS or mine not from tmo? Any answers for my problem. Many thanks

Are you getting 3G or just EDGE in corner of home screen?

only EGDE, if I change to 3G, I will recive AT&T service and SOS in corner of home screen. btw, any ATT&T users have same problem?. im going to move to att if I cant fix this problem

This is because your phone is probably not T-Mobile branded and T-Mobile US uses different frequency for 3G (and 4G) than everybody else. For this reason when my girlfriend was shoping for her BlackBerry on eBay we had to specifically look for T-Mobile version so 3G would work. One of my friend bought recently Torch 9810 from AT&T and on T-Mobile she is only getting EDGE. Hope this explenation works. To get 4G of your phone you would have to switch to AT&T alltogether.

I just got same explenation from tmo store. U mean that I need to use ATT phone as well

If your phone is unlocked it should work with AT&T sim card because they are using the same frequency as everyone else. So no need to change the phone.
