    That means any carrier selling this phone should have a similar release date.

    Well if anything, thanks for letting us know they haven't changed their date? With all these rumors about delays and what not, I'm starting to think its more of a tentative date anyways where they could move it up or move it back if need be.

    Just a guess but since sprint gets some phones last should we be expecting to the the bold and torch 2 come out alittle earlier for bigger carriers(At&t,Rogers)

    Old news from June 3rd. What is new news is the all touch storm replacement which is being branded in the Torch family has the same release date as the 9930 which is August 21st.
    Hopefully they will launch sooner in Canada... like July.

    Doesn't make sense to release BOTH Bold 9930 and Torch 9850 on the same day. I think the Bold 9930 will be released shortly after Sprint's June 24th Evo 3D hoopla 'round mid-July and the Torch 9850 rleased around mid- August.

    Sprint may have the best relationship with Rim in US at the moment. Also I'm pretty sure Sprint has more subscribers than Rogers! Even T-mobile does.

    i think t-mobile/vodaphone will be the first to launch it in us/europe in late june. then rogers/at&t/verizon will get their share in mid-july for canada,us respectively.and last sprint/bell/orange will receive their share in late august for us,canada,and europe respectively.all other abroad countries will get it in september/october.now thats where this recent delayed rumors falls.the delay is for abroad not usa/canada.also for at&t it makes sense to launch it in july because they do not want to launch two new blackberries at the same time.thats why the torch 2 will be launched in august corresponding to last year's torch 1 release date.sprint will be releasing their version the torch 9850 in august as well. this is what i believe where the pieces will fall.i might be wrong about this but hopefully it works out this way.

    RIM needs to step up and do a news release with good solid dates as soon as possible. This way RIM can keep their investors.

    Is it sad that I would be willing to pay a good 600 to have the bold 9900 right now? :X I hate you RIM even though I love you so much.. We have a confusing relationship [;

    RIM does have an investors meeting for June 16th. Hopefully they will need to release some concrete dates to keep their investors happy.
    Thats what i'm hoping for at least!

    if you go to the website, it shows the 9930/9900 on the home page and it says "The power of touch" and "The new blackberry bold smartphone with a brilliant touchscreen is coming soon"

    I dont think they would have that 3 months out would they?

    Where do you get this from? Sprint is one just one carrier. Also, I highly doubt they'd be releasing multiple devices on the same day...

    It just shows the sku list and same date for both the Bold 9930 and 9850 which most carriers do not relase multiple devices by the same company on the same date. I again hope Sprint releases the Bold 9930 by mid-July and the Torch 9850 mid-August. But again, nothing is official on any release dates from Sprint.

    That's my point too... What kind of company will keep "coming soon" for a long period? Well... it looks like RIM will because they seems to pay no attention to customers OR even international laws. I am 100% sure that this coming soon appear on their North American and European sites because in some places, there are legal issues with saying "coming soon" and having no explanation for delays.
