    I know what you mean, but I subscribe to the view that a really GOOD user interface doesn't call attention to itself.

    Both are free.

    As for lock screens... check out Bulbera. They are an app developer who has a few different lock screens out. Here are a couple of videos showcasing two of them. Passcode Lock Pro and Pattern Lock Pro. Both are paid, but there are free versions!
