i went from 8330 curve to 9850 torch w/ a minor transition time,,, qwerty keyboard may be a bit faster typing, but after a little practice it can be almost as fast,,, full touch is more intuitive & fun & you get much more viewing real estate which is what got me to make the change originally,,, i'd say, w/ a pretty big bias mind you, that you will not be disappointed w/ the 9850,,, also if you're considering a change, you may want to wait & see what BB10 has to offer as it's so close to release...

I have both. Overall I like the Torch better. The bigger screen is nice. I type fine on it.

ahh I remember my first "should I get this or this" thread on CB...good times, I say stick with your current bold, imo it's so much better than the torches...

I will use the Torch on weekends and use my Bold M-F...best of both worlds! I still have a 10.1 Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, so have no desire for a Playbook...

and if i get a buyer for the bold then i will just have torch until new BB10 time...

I have missed the Bold ever since I got my Torch 2 years ago. That said - this thing refuses to die. I've accidentally dropped it in water three times!

I went from the Bold 9000 to the 9800 and now to my 9810. I love the Toch, to ke it is the best of both worlds, I have a fair amout of screen size to di what I want and the physical keyboard that makes it great...and now I am torn with BB10 and am really leaning to get the Z10 and take the plunge to full touch, itnworks on my PB just fine...why not my phone now too.

unfortunately for me verizon did not offer the 9810....i am hoping that there will be a BB10 device with some type of slider for Verizon...

9930, IMO OS7 isn't ready for pure touch screen use. Too often the screen is not responsive enough to not have the keys. That's my experience after using the 9810 and 9900 anyway.

I'm a die hard bold guy but I would be interested in trying a full touch torch for a weekend or so. They do look quite nice. Just hope for a better typing experience than an iphone. I'm probably kinda spoiled with the 9900 and its Cadillac friggin' keyboard. Lol.

I have a 9860 and never use the trackpad. I find the touch experience excellent and very responsive.

Be glad you skipped the 9810. Imagine for a minute that "You cant use the keypad and view the screen in landscape" for a moment. That plus a jillion other ergonomic brain fartz and you are much better off with the other two phones you have. And yeah, with BB10 coming out, fug it!
