Bold 9900 Picture Messaging Problems - HELP!!!!
Whats going on everyone?
I have a bold 9900 and have an issue with sending a receiving pictures through MMS (IMs work). Pictures don't always come through, nor go out....if I take the battery out and restart the phone everything works for awhile, and then it happens again so I have to pull the battery again. Depending on the amount of pictures I receive a day, I'd have to restart my phone about 2 - 3 times a day.
Tmobile is my carrier and I've tried to contact them and we've tried a variety of things but nothing seems to work.... any help??? anyone know what settings I may have to change around??
Thank you!!!!! - 08-05-2012, 09:43 AM #2
Resend your service books.Options/Device/Advanced System Settings/Host Routing Table/Menu/Register Now. Worked for me the last time my MMs got really slow. Should fix you right up!

I'm not so sure resending his service books will work. i have the same exact problem & resending my service books doesn't do a damn thing. I've learned to deal with the fact that my phone just doesn't do MMS.
Sent from my BlackBerry 9930If we couldn't laugh we would all go insane. - 08-05-2012, 11:09 AM

I've come to the realization of this also. My friends opened up a text chat room with 4 of us and they all have iphones. It seems like most of the messages come through as mms for some reason. I get a ton of error messages saying that I received a message to download but it never does.
It's really annoying, but I couldn't find an answer to this so I just live with it. - 08-05-2012, 04:28 PM #7
Fwiw you may wanna go into text messages/menu/options and make sure everything is toggled on or off where it's supposed to be.
The are some options for MMS notification, Send As, Multimedia Reception Automatic Retrieval and Retries etc.______________________________________

Have you checked your Browser Push Settings? Sounds like a long shot but believe it or not if those are unchecked you won't receive much of anything. They are under Advanced System Settings.

Also like 93 suggests if you don't have things setup properly in Messages/Menu/Options/Text Messages especially Multimedia Reception and Automatic Retreval you won't get squat.

All the boxes on the top are checked on mine and everything has always worked. That should be more than a temporary fix!
