I am on build 746 on bb bold 9900
I did not have this problem until yesterday when i am in bbm and i press any key to search for contacts bbm hangs and never opens
I have to do batt pull each time then again same problem any help?

Im not sure, but there is an option to create a Backup of you contacts. Before deleting go to options in BBM and backup under Backup Management.

Are you running the beta BBM7? if not i would recommend going to BlackBerry Beta Zone and signing up, then your contacts/groups is synced via your BBID

I'm facing the same problem here (running on 794), try deleting the last 3rd apps that I installed. we'll see how it goes
