Well, the lowest setting of "10" is still way too bright. In a dark environment, reading the screen hurts my eyes. You can try enabling the automatic dimming feature, which seems to dim a tad (but really just a tad) lower than 10.
A setting of 5 or maybe even 1 would be highly appreciated. The very ergonomic "bedside" brightness is easy on the eyes, however you can't access it. As far as I know, there is no current way to lower the brightness below the preset levels. I heard there are some rather complicated tools which can fool around with internal system settings, but never really looked into such a thing. - 12-10-2012, 03:03 PM #3
mine does that sometimes i put it at 50 and it looks way to bright like a 100. a battery pull fixes it for me.. set your automatically dim backlight to off so dont tick it
God, Forgives I Dont.. BB Abuser..

Thanks for the advice...
I did remove auto dim and put it to 40% and seems better now.
My problem was that in a lit environment, it seemed way to bright like glaring and I thought we could adjust that brightness but I guess not.
