    Hi,

several weeks ago I asked in a different thread how many volume levels you can set by using the hardware volume up/down buttons on you BB. I got the answer: 10. Yesterday, though, a friend visited me and showed my his new Samsung Galaxy S Plus phone. I noticed that you can set only 7 levels on this phone, first. But then he opened the media player app and all the sudden he could choose between 15 different volume levels. As an iPod touch owner I can say, this is the perfect number of volume levels.

So, could anybody owning a BB 9900/9930 please open the music player app and see if it gives you finer control of the volume levels than in regular phone use? This is really killing me and I can't find any information about it. BTW: On my PlayBook, there are 15 levels, too.

That number I think has to do with the program software. Any number of programs can give different numbers.

    lol,
it depends upon the headphone/ speaker phone volume output.
    ...
check the BB manual for how much dB headphone and speaker phone emits.
