hi,

im sure this has been answered before but i cant seem to find the answer anywhere.

i was updating my blackberry 9930 from 7.0 to 7.1
during the update the phone crashed and the screen now reads error 102 reload software

so i went on blackberry.com and downloaded the new software to my pc and pulled it up to the screen where it asks you to plug in your phone

but my computer is not recognizing the drive of my phone and is telling me to download new drivves for it

i know the cable is good so it has to be something with my phone.....can anyone help

Make sure you download desktop manager. There is also an online updater I do believe. Not sure from your post which you are using. Don't use the web based one. BlackBerry Desktop Manager actually installs on your PC.

Then search the support section of BlackBerry.com and find the official OS download page for your carrier. Grab the latest OS for your device. Install that to your PC.

1. In desktop manager do a full device back up.

2. Do a device update. It should find the OS you installed to the PC and it will load that to your phone.
