    Nope. That won't work. There's no zoom function for the video camera.

    I work here.
    On my 9700, you have to zoom (using the trackpad as described) BEFORE hitting record. It won't zoom while recording.
    Maybe try that?

    How do I take up matter with blackberry tech team.. Without Zooming even HD video look like a normal video. Why do we want OS7 then.

    I too can't figure out how to zoom - the zoom and video on my Bold 9700 was great especially for sporting events where you cant always get up close. This is a disappointment.

    Every blackberry (with a camera) i've ever had was able to zoom for video recording (granted it needed to be done before starting) - Tools who make comments like... "move closer" need to suck at least a few eggs. If my 9650 didn't take an unexpected nosedive into the mop bucket, i wouldn't even have bought the 9930. Unacceptable.

    *no chance that's something they could resolve, right?

    Not only is there no zoom when recording. there is no zoom for the video camera period.

    So, you wouldn't buy the 9930 because of no zoom on the video camera? WTF?
