As of right now, can any T-Mobile BlackBerry BOLD 9900 users get to their Email Account(s) settings on their BlackBerry? For me it keeps timing out, thus I can't change settings in my email account; like name, signature, etc.

And, to top it off, I can't get to my email settings online either, via T-Mobile...

ok i was (and still am) having this problem. so, after wiping the device, installing a clean OS, and pushing new service books, i called tmo customer care. the CS rep told me that the server on RIMs end was down, and that they were expected to fix it by the end of today.

to get to you email accounts, login to my.tmobile.com then click on mobile life, then email and text tools... then you should be able to see your email accounts. using this, i was still unable to restore my "@tmo.blackberry.net" account...

Thanks for the info. Curious, where did you download your OS from? I've been searching for OS7, and have failed terribly...

After going to Text Tools via MobileLife [T-Mobile], it will ask for my PIN and IMEI, even after entering this info, it redirects me to the main T-Mobile website...

I just spent 3 hours at the T-Mobile store trying to deal with this. T-Mobile dropped the line to the clerk in the store 3 times. After getting escalated to RIM, RIM said it was a T-Mobile problem but couldn't articulate what was wrong.

Since I upgraded the whole family at the same time, all the phones in the family have the problem.

    RIM Ticket # is 23598715.

I'll give it a couple days before I return the whole set of 4 phones.

Bought my 9900 yesterday. Same problem here, no emails. I tried to call T-Mobile today and they are CLOSED for the holiday. I can't access my email settings either. Went to T-Mo's site under "mobile life" like smijes said and setup my accounts. Now I'm getting them. (but still cannot access email settings from my phone)

Plug your phone into Desktop Manager software and you'll see email management apps, one removable and one not. Remove the removable app and reboot your device. Then go to your messages menu, options, email account management. It should prompt you to install the updated app, follow instructions.

My recommendation is upgrade phone to newest leak anmd update DM to leaked version7, while you're at it.

I guess I am dense. I don't see anything called "email management apps". Th closest I get is under Applications I see Email Setup Application, but I don't see another.

This issue is affecting multiple users on T-Mobile! RIM is aware, and so is T-Mobile. I even have a case number with RIM, but they have no estimated time of a fix for this issue.

Weird! I should have stayed with Verizon...

It's happening on my 9700 also has been for a few days now. I sent a DM via Twitter to BB Help, they answered, I sent details, still waiting for and answer or a fix.

I'm sorry for you new 9900 owners, you can still get and send emails just fine!

To add some further info, I got a recorded message when calling 611 and asking for a BlackBerry rep saying they are aware of issues in my area with, among other services, email.

I just spoke to a TMo RIM tech specialist, and he asked me first to resend service books from the TMo BIS site and then do a battery pull while on EDGE or 3G. I told him about what others are experiencing, and mentioned this thread to him (he knows CrackBerry!). He also asked me to check if my device was correctly detected in the BIS page, which it was.

The result? The same "device had a problem connecting to server" message. Is this the error you 9900 owners are getting also?

Exact same message. First I called T-mo. Same service books, pull the battery crap. So I called and talked to RIM today, Tuesday (they and Tmo were closed Labor Day) and was told that the server there has experienced some technical difficulties, and that Tmo should have got me up and running. He said that "Tmo TECHNICIANS has been instructed on what to do and that the Tmo technicians (NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS) are who should have taken my call. So we 3-way called back and got a tech on the line. Tmo tech said login to myT Mobile - "Mobile Life" - go to connections, email and text tools. Click on change device and see what phone and pin is registered. Probably your old one (that's the hold up). Change device to 9900 and the "new PIN" and that should get you up and running. RIM also said that " the server should be up and running tomorrow 9/7/2011 and then we should be able to access it though the email setup as usual.

Ggentleman, contrary to popular belief, the email situation was not rim related. It was tmobile. I'm happy to report that as of 10pm eastern time, everything is up and running across the board. I advise anyone who is having trouble to ensure they are not using wifi for a data signal when attempting to connect to their email configuration. I'm not a software guy, but this is what our software team has advised.

Are people saying that the issue with getting into email settings from the BlackBerry 9900 or from the T-Mobile website is now corrected?

Also, when you delete an email from your BlackBerry, does it delete? Seems this was an issue, too...

I went thru this with my new 9780 on t mobile 3 months ago. it is a tmobile issue. i was 3 days w rim and it was t mobile all the way with the os problem

I fixed it by installing latest leaked os and it worked instantly. I would instal .353 leak and I bet you 100 bucks it works!!!

I installed .353 on my vzw 9930 and it works wayyyy better than orig os.

    Trust me, try it

For what this is worth, I had been using a unlocked att torch with TMO, we switched to TMO a few days before. I ordered a 9900, when I got it, I put the new SIM card in it and had the same problems listed in the post above. I then put the SIM card in I had gotten from TMO when we switched carriers and the problem went away I then updated the 9900 on desktop manager and have had no problems to date I don't know enough about the system to add anything as to why the old SIM worked and the new one caused problems. I hope this info might help someone else with the 9900, the more I use it, the more I like it
