Because it just shows the difference between the marketing savvy of Apple versus Rim. Apple is not even released yet but apps and themes are already available.

Apple doesn't do themes for the iPhone. Only way to get a theme is to jailbreak...

Just saw this on Blackberry website-

"BlackBerry Java SDK v7.0 (updated Oct. 18, 2011)"

Does this give us any help on getting Themes for OS7?

Nope, that's just tools and a simulator for developers to test their apps on.

We need Theme Builder for OS7 to be released for themes.

Thanks. Doesn't RIM get that it's all about the software!

Apple doesn't support it, but a jailbroken iphone can certainly do it.

Themes are part of the BB Culture - I really miss trying different themes. Without themes, I am not so sure what makes this device special, besides the keyboard obviously...

I tolerate the lack of apps - that is a tradeoff you make for having a superior communication tool.... But this theme situation is just another thorn in the side of faithful users.

Still no Today theme or any themes for os7. Sucks ****. If it waxn't for Fancy Widgets, i'd toss the 9930 in the drawer and go back to by 9000.

So Magmic somehow figured out how to make a OS7 theme without a new theme builder. Curious to hear feedback on it if anyone gives it a go...

Gotta wonder about RIM these days. The Today theme is crucial to a large percentage of business users who make up the core of RIM loyalists. Has RIM forgot that it all about the software? Get the darn Theme Builder out now!
