Can someone help me here? I've talked to multiple people on this issue, both vzw employees and non employees, but what are the uses for wifi on my 9930 when I have verizon service? I've heard everything except phone calls can use wifi to wifi being pointless through big red. Help?

When you're on an airplane, you could use WiFi to use all the features (-phone) to conduct business or whatever you like.

If you're outside of service coverage, or in a roaming area, you could use WiFi to connect up with the world......

Wifi typically uses less battery power than 3G

Simultaneous voice and data

Wifi speeds typically much faster than 3G

Doesn't use carrier data, so you can have a lower cost data plan
