Right I've had my 9900 since release, I'm preparing to switch over to the new Z10 so I'll be waiting to see how RIM handle the hand over for people switching from OS7 to BB10.

However in the mean time I want to back up the contacts on my 9900 to a computer so I have a standalone back up in case anything goes wrong or for whatever reason my phone dies. I regularly back up using DM but was looking for any 3rd party software that could handle the task? Being able to browse through contacts on the computer itself would be a bonus. I don't just want a simple name and numbers back up, a lot of the contacts in my address book include address/email info too so being able to back them up would be great too.

So is there anything available to take on this task?

Use Desktop to sync with Outlook, or transport them to a CSV format. You could also use BIS to sync them wirelessly to an email account.

I use the DTM but also use BlackBerry Protect as well as the VZw back up app. I've got 3 bases covered

I managed to use DM to back up the contacts to Windows Contacts - couldn't quite work out how to export as a csv file. This has meant that most of the info has been backed up, names/addresses/numbers but say where I have a contact with 2 mobile numbers only one is backed up.

Hopefully my next device will be a Blackberry so I'll have a seamless transition across, if not I'll resign myself to manually inputting any missed info.
