    That is a somewhat difficult question to answer as probably everyone will have their personal favorite OS due to factors like what is loaded in their phone, 3rd party apps, etc. In general the 7.1 releases have been great. I'd go with the latest one that's available if you're thinking of upgrading your OS.

    BerryLicious RC15 Final with 7.1.0.923 as the base OS.

    So far has been the best OS i have used on my 9900. the device locks onto signals really fast, and can switch between 3G and 2G modes really quick too.

    And memory management is great too.

    i am with rogers also. i had rogers most current(outdated) o/s but it kept freezing. i upgraded to at&t's .862 and have had zero problems. is .923 worth upgrading to over .862?

    i heard 862 sucks and all OSes that come from AT&T are the same. I wouldn't recommend it based on that.

    I've seen people on 862 downgrade back to 861 or 714

    Ignore the numbers... both .861 and .714 are upgrades over .862

    ohhhh! I thought the higher the number the newer the operating system.... either ways, for me I had better luck with 714 and I dont think blackberry can improve anything more on the OS 7, it's as good as it gets and I like it to be honest. BB 10 is not for me

    In general it is, but not with AT&T releases. They just package ancient apps and features into an OS with a new number.

    Thank you for correcting my understanding.

    I was under the impression that the operating systems only come from RIM and all the carrier does is add some stuff in the vendor.xml file

    guess that's not the case especially with AT&T
