What is the most stable OS currently released for the 9900. Just got my hands on a replacement phone and want to update to the most stable/best battery life OS for AT&T. I tried to search but couldnt find much. Ended up in a jungle of IT Policy commentary.

    Thanks in advance!

There is no unique correct answer for this! Users experiences vary a lot with te different available OS versions..

Best way to find out... read and go through the threads of the different OS leaks and releases...

My suggestion is .402 and .523. Go for .523, already went Official and pretty solid build tbh. New .50 bbm, new Appworld version and yes, there is a Resource Monitor apps which is new and only available on the new .523 atm

.402 was terrible for me. Bad battery life and huge memory leak. I'm back on .391, probably going to try the .523 soon.

So, in other words, what scouts36 said.

The one that works the best for you OP.

IT policy will be present in most newer builds as the IT policy has to do with Parental Controls. I would stay away from .4xx if I were you.

I read through some of .523 and it says that the mic doesnt work on AT&T. Any ideas on that?

I think .523 is the best so far.... however... give it a week to settle before judging the battery life.

The best OS for me is 7.1.0.318. I am on AT&T and most of the new 4xx builds and .523 cause the mic issue (people can't hear you on calls). Regardless, I've tried all the 7.1 builds and this one has had the best battery life and performance for me.

Yes the 9900 is a superb phone, i loved it......

    SUPERB QWERTY KEYBOARD!
    Great PROCESSING SPEED
    IMPROVE 3G/GPRS/EDGE Connectivitiy!
    GREAT OS7 panel features

Plus All the goodies of the OS6 and RIM et ALLLLLLLLLLL

Only one thing made me kind of mad..... Battery life is kind of short, i have to use the juice bar more often now........ although i dont really need to use the juice bar as the battery should last me for most of the day. i prefer to have least 55% power before the availability of the next recharge. (Good Habbit to have especially if you are planning to travel!!)

However as a medium weight user, the batter is really playing up as it consume up to 30 percent of batt in 6 hours - gives you a rough of 22 hours of batt......

However i take some kind of solace for the fact that i have been using the juice bar more - banging the worth outa me juice bar ^^

I have no plan to replace the 9900 - i hope the device will last me a long time after all i only use the phone for
Call/Txt/IM/Mail/Browsing and Production........ Fancy Apps and complicated interface will do me little favor....
